We received a warm welcome to the Mill House which provided the ideal place for an extended family get together to join wedding celebrations at a local venue. The accommodation is spacious and very “well appointed” with everything you could need provided. Our family group ranged in age from 3 to 88 years, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Along with a pool table, sauna and hot tub facilities in the Mill House accommodation there are great facilities on the site. The children particularly enjoyed the playbarn and play area facilities, and getting to know the chickens.

We had a fantastic Christmas at the Bull Barn. Both Julie and Robert were so warm, friendly and welcoming. On our first evening we were invited to join the locals at bell ringing and carol singing. What a lovely start to the festive period. The kids loved the surroundings and enjoyed both games rooms. Kept them pretty occupied throughout the day. Brilliant idea. Even going to the local pub on Christmas Day we were welcomed by all there. Such a friendly area. Highly recommend Upper House Farm Cottages – fantastic stay. Thank you

“Stayed at the cart house for five nights over new year 2019. Very impressed with the standard and everything you could possibly need has been provided. The facility was clean and well presented. Large hot tub in a courtyard garden which is fully enclosed. The whole site is charming and quiet. Hosts friendly and easily available should you need to contact them. Really enjoyed our stay and will go back again.”

“We stayed for 4 days in Dec. The cottage is easily accessible and has plenty of parking space. Cottage is very spacious and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and has large dining table for 12 . The living room has recliners and large TV. Hot tub was great and so was sauna. Bedrooms are good with good quality showers. Kids games room is really good. Overall an excellent cottage for large family. “

I booked this property initially because it had a minimum of two toilets and two walk in showers, because I have a long standing medical problem where I need the above facilities and it is difficult to find them in a two bedroom property let. Then I thought having all that space, why not invite a couple of friends along, which is what we did and they arrived before us and called us on their mobile to the effect “that you have got to see this place and did I know what it was like, it is fantastic.” They were not wrong, I had my two toilets one walk in shower en suite in the third bedroom with its twin beds. The two double bedded rooms are located at opposite ends of the property, a converted cattle shed, one has a very nice shower over bath with a wash basin and WC. The other double has this amazing 10×5 walk in wet room and I was in heaven, the WC located well away from the shower end with a wash basin in between. All bathrooms have nice heated towel rails and the great touch, every one had at least hand rail in the shower area so that a person can steady themselves whilst washing or rinsing off. Great the only thing missing was a shower stool in the wet room, the next day Robert, our host turned up with an adjustable shower seat and I could shower in complete safety. And before I leave ones ablutions, you have plenty of towels including a full sized bath sheet that even fits my lumpy body, but bring your own bathrobe. This and the other properties are fitted out and furnished to a very high standard, we had a two seat and a three seat electrically adjustable settee, plus an electrically adjustable riser chair, which became my bed for the duration as I have to sleep in the sitting position. I doubt that you would find such a level of refinement in other holiday lets The L shaped kitchen was also well appointed and well supplied with cutlery, plates and pans, a good sized high level fridge freezer, a good quirky controlled oven, good sized dish washer with a good supply of tablets and adequate storage space. In short a very well thought kitchen as is the rest of the the property. To the outside rear of the let, we had a good sized decked area with chest high railings, which overlooked a decent sized Koi carp pond and a largish grassed area, which housed a whirly line. On the deck was a hot tub, in which Brian lived on and off throughout the day and reckoned it was great and kept very clean. The other nice touch is a proper BBQ, not one of those smelly little tray things containing a few coals that do not burn properly. Other nice touches there is a communal play area which has a soft play area for younger children with a big settee for parents, a pool table, an air puck table and the old table football, plus a little honesty shop stocked with essentials and things you thought you did not need, but did. Various booklets of the various tourist attractions within an hour or so driving time. There is also a badminton court and a vast chicken run, where the children, or you reading this, can go and collect freshly laid eggs for breakfast or tea. A very nice touch as is the big green in front of all the holiday lets. All this is located on an operational farm area, which is nice and peaceful, but centrally located for you to explore Shropshire, many parts of Wales, the Midlands, Liverpool and a host of other interesting locations. Robert, your host is a very nice laid back man, but very hands on and backed by a great team of people doing the cleaning and hot tub maintenance. This is a place where you can enjoy your holiday and even relax and do nothing should that be your want. Would I go back, oh yes and even one of my sons and his partner want to tag along.

Perfect location - November 2019

17 of us stayed in the Mill House and Granary. The houses are spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, After a days walking the hot tubs are a joy to come back to. This is our third year here and we’ve booked again for next year. Excellent value for money.

Excellent weekend - November 2019

We had an awesome stay at The Sheep Shed. It is set back off the road nestling peacefully amongst the Shropshire fields. Robert & Julie so welcoming, friendly, helpful and on hand should you need them. The Sheep Shed is comfortable with lovely leather furniture, just perfect for relaxing in front of the wood burner. The Sauna an added bonus as is the hot tub for a real pampering. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. All rooms spotlessly clean with luxury towels and crisp white bedding. Bathroom and shower facilities excellent. The under floor heating is so nice too! The pool table was a big hit. The play barn and badminton barn very well thought out and offers lots of activities to guests. We borrowed some DVDs’ from the extensive collection housed there. Loved the honesty shop which is surprisingly well stocked. Millie the farm dog is so sweet. Cannot fault anything or leave negative feedback at all. Can’t stress how much we loved our holiday here, so much so we tried to re-book for February ’19 but it is already taken by some very lucky people. You will not regret booking to stay here – it was a little slice of Heaven…..
