beautiful location. The Granary

We had a wonderful week’s holiday in The Granary at Upper House Farm Cottages. The cottage itself is beautiful; well presented, clean & comfortable, with everything we needed provided. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a real bonus, The hot tub is the cherry on the cake & we used it every single morning to start our day. Fantastic! We used the games room every evening, to play pool, air hockey & the original space invaders, which took us on a trip down memory lane! The games room also had a really good DVD collection available for the guests’ use & a very handy honesty shop. Collecting eggs from the resident hens is such a lovely treat, as was our daily visitor Charlotte the purring cat & feeding the fish. All these great ‘added extras’ made our stay that little bit more special. The cottages are in a beautiful location & we got out & about almost every day, including a steam train trip, a river boat trip, visiting local churches & towns and a day at the ironworks. Robert, the owner, is a very friendly & welcoming man who is always ready & willing to help, as is Julie. All in all this was a wonderful holiday & I would thoroughly recommend Upper House Farm Cottages to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxed, interesting holiday in a really fabulous location.
